STRYKE Percussion 2 (SP2) is excited to announce that Chris Vosburgh will be returning to the STRYKE family and now as the new SP2 PIA Ensemble Director for the 2020 season!

Chris is currently part of the educational staff for both Jupiter HS and Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS marching bands. Chris is from Coral Springs, Florida and has been a part of the local marching band and indoor percussion circuit for many years. In addition to the schools he is currently teaching with, he has previously worked with percussion students at Flanagan HS, Pembroke Pines Charter HS, Monarch HS, and Coral Glades HS. Before moving into a teaching role, he was a front ensemble member with STRYKE PIW from 2013 - 2017 as well as the Madison Scouts in 2015.

He worked as the front ensemble liaison for the PIW group in 2018 and played a key part in SP2’s successful 2019 season as the front ensemble coordinator. The group went on to place 4th in the WGI World Championships, and the group took home the coveted PIA Fan Favorite award!

Chris obtained his Bachelor of Science from FAU, and when he isn’t teaching, he works in the information technology field as a consultant.

Please join us in congratulating Chris on his new role. We’re excited about the 2020 season and look forward to what’s to come!
