What class does STRYKE Percussion compete in?

STRYKE Percussion competes in Percussion Independent World (PIW) in both FFCC and WGI.

What should I prepare?

Your audition registration includes the audition packet. Review your section materials carefully, practice with a metronome, and arrive ready to perform, learn, move, and respond to feedback. A packet-only copy is available for $10 through the STRYKE Downloads page for people who are not registering to audition.

Can I submit a video audition?

Yes, in limited circumstances. Candidates must register before submitting a video. Florida-based candidates are expected to audition in person. Video auditions are intended for out-of-state candidates or returning veteran members with special circumstances and require prior approval from the appropriate caption head. Approved videos are due by Sunday, September 27, 2026 so staff can determine callback invitations.

Where are rehearsals?

Hialeah Gardens High School is the primary rehearsal location for the 2026–27 season. Candidates should follow the official season calendar and communication channels for any location changes.

What is the commitment?

Membership requires consistent attendance, preparation outside rehearsal, professional communication, financial responsibility, and a team-first approach. If you have a conflict or eligibility question, discuss it with your section lead before accepting a contract.

2026–27 TUITION & PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Total season tuition: $2,800 for Musicans, $2,400 for Visual Ensemble

The contract deposit is applied toward your total season tuition; it is not an additional fee.

Friday, October 23, 2026 — Contract deposit: $400

Friday, November 27, 2026 — Payment 2: $500 / $400

Friday, December 18, 2026 — Payment 3: $500 / $400

Friday, January 29, 2027 — Payment 4: $500 / $400

Friday, February 26, 2027 — Final payment: $500 / $400

STRYKE loves volunteers and those who want to donate their time, goods, or services!
